Upon completion of his studies (Klausenburg Academy of Music with Professors Peter Zsurka and Istvan Ruha), he served on the faculty of the Klausenburg Academy of music, and gained considerable success, winning major international competitions in Russia, Germany, Austria and Romania. Mr. Agostons´s performing career achieved new levels of prominence after he was awarded fist prize at the David Oistrach International Competition held in Vienna, one of the world´s most prestigious violin competitions. Critically acclaimed recitals and performances with symphony orchestras in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, China, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland have placed him among the greatest violinists of his generation. Mr. Agoston currently performs widely throughout Europe and served till 2001 as concertmaster and soloist of the noted Philharmonia Hungarica in Germany.
